Why Ad Astra?
ORIGIN OF THE NAME
Ad Astra
Ad Astra - Latin for “To The Stars”, is far more than an aspirational name.
It was born from a mantra shaped by dreams and starlight: the idea of reaching as close to the sky as possible, close enough to grasp a star!
That vision stems from my beloved father, whom I lost years ago, and whose spirit still guides my journey like a guiding star.
ORIGIN OF THE NAME
Stella as a Star
As a child, my beloved papa named his dog Stella—Italian for Star.” When she was lost in an accident, the word took on a deeper meaning.
From then on, he called the people he loved “Star” or “Little Star,” his own quiet language for affection, a tender way of saying I love you.
On clear, star-filled nights, we would lie beneath the sky and he would say, “Look up. Do you see the stars? Find the brightest one. One day, I’ll be there.” And he would smile and add, “When that day comes, knock on your chest three times, and I’ll come to you.”
